The Howrse economy has no basis in reality whatsoever. Equus is already meaningless; the only thing that actually holds a realistic value are passes, and even then some people think that they're free. We give value to things we think are important, and there's a lot of variance between individuals. If the economy managed to survive the vet fees, then it came survive the reserve merge.
lmao, I didn't mean in terms of real currency. Within this game, there is fabricated economy because of the various currencies that can be traded from one player to another - Nothing more nothing less.
And equus *is* going be devalued, because it will probably almost double in quantity, so we'll have to spend more in return for the same horses/bmi exchanges.

That does mean that Uni prices will go back up. Maybe this is howrse's attempt to fix the devaluing of Unis and skillers that has been occurring.
It's not giving the unicorns more value at all. It's just meaning that everything will be more expensive because there is more equus, so it's worth less. If they wanted to fix that, they'd create a sink hole in a promo, where you have to dehorn unicorns (like the potions for example, which I think is coming up soon), or make them harder to breed. All they've done recently is make unicorns easier to acquire.

With the
EC changes, they are apparently swapping 'lessons' with the 'missions'. These 'missions' are so that - depending on which location you chose for your EC - you can harvest resources to make into other things.
"You can ask the horses boarded into your EC to perform missions for you (missions will replace lessons): for example, harvesting wood in the forest. In return, the horse’s owner will get money and the horse will receive skills. With the wood, you could make something useful in your workshop, for example make a new box." -

They also said on this blog that the lesson prestige is being removed from the calculation of prestige - So how will the amount of skills earned by the horses through these 'missions' differ? Does anyone know?
