You earn cards every day with your first login, by winning comps, and other small things. You also often have a special where you can buy packs of cards in the BM, and there are Flash Sales where you can bid on or buy cards. There are two types of cards - cards that give you goodies and cards that belong to a "puzzle". Once the puzzles are competed you win prizes for them, too. Cards come in varying degrees of rarity, from bronze (common) to diamond (rare).
They are pretty fun, I've never collected all the cards to complete the big prizes but you get some pretty good stuff
