That makes no sense to me....don't really get why we would want horses called bellum, pestilentia, mortem, and fames - 2014-09-30I agree with Satkin..
And also translated into Latin or not it still means what it means..... Plus it doesn't really solve anything ... It's just like covering it up with a rug and hoping nobody will notice...
Click to displayit's really confusing me as to why people are kicking up a fuss about the names anyway... They're just words....
And just taking it as a Example when the Simpsons do the Haloween specials and people die it's called comedy. When howrse draws a horse and calls it death it's sick... I'm not sure if it's just me but it don't really see a problem

Lol, watching newest episode of Simpsons now
But good point - 2014-09-30Retired breeder wrote:
The Howrse economy has no basis in reality whatsoever. Equus is already meaningless; the only thing that actually holds a realistic value are passes, and even then some people think that they're free. We give value to things we think are important, and there's a lot of variance between individuals. If the economy managed to survive the vet fees, then it came survive the reserve merge.
lmao, I didn't mean in terms of real currency. Within this game, there is fabricated economy because of the various currencies that can be traded from one player to another - Nothing more nothing less.
And equus *is* going be devalued, because it will probably almost double in quantity, so we'll have to spend more in return for the same horses/bmi exchanges.

That does mean that Uni prices will go back up. Maybe this is howrse's attempt to fix the devaluing of Unis and skillers that has been occurring.
It's not giving the unicorns more value at all. It's just meaning that everything will be more expensive because there is more equus, so it's worth less. If they wanted to fix that, they'd create a sink hole in a promo, where you have to dehorn unicorns (like the potions for example, which I think is coming up soon), or make them harder to breed. All they've done recently is make unicorns easier to acquire.
Click to displayWith the EC changes, they are apparently swapping 'lessons' with the 'missions'. These 'missions' are so that - depending on which location you chose for your EC - you can harvest resources to make into other things.
"You can ask the horses boarded into your EC to perform missions for you (missions will replace lessons): for example, harvesting wood in the forest. In return, the horse’s owner will get money and the horse will receive skills. With the wood, you could make something useful in your workshop, for example make a new box." - 'Reviewing the Equestrian Centers', Howrse Blog.
They also said on this blog that the lesson prestige is being removed from the calculation of prestige - So how will the amount of skills earned by the horses through these 'missions' differ? Does anyone know? - 2014-09-30Retired breedergabxz wrote:

I believe I read somewhere that the skills gained will depend on your horse so maybe a skiller will gain more or less skills from it?idk XD I guess for stuff like this we'll have to wait and see. - 2014-09-30From the testing server:
Interfaces:
Click to displayVarious pages and interfaces have been reviewed to adjust them to these new changes :
-The meadow page
-The Equestrian centre’s public profile
-The registration to an equestrian centre page.
We enjoin you to take a look at them
Seal of the Apocalypse
Click to displayA new black market item is added to the Customization category: the Seal of the Apocalypse.
This item works the same way as the bewitched pumpkin:
-It can't be bought with passes unless an event tied to this item is active.
-When this is the case, the price for this item is 2 passes.
-It can be traded on the item exchange
-It can be given to horses as young as 18 months old
-It can be given to horses, ponies, pegasus, unicorns and winged unicorns
-It can't be given to donkeys, divine or wild horses
-It can't be combined with other special coat items (it overwrites the previous item)
-It gives a +5 bonus to each horse skill
Each coat is animated.
Removal of the jobs
Click to displayThe jobs are removed to make a little bit of space for new features.
Here is what it implies on the breeder’s side :
You don’t need to look for a job any longer.
Therefore you don’t get paid a salary
As a replacement, each player receives a Wealth Privilege that offers 100 equus per day.
Here is what it implies on the equestrian centre’s side :
You can't hire players as employees anymore and they don’t count for the prestige any longer either.
Bedding changes itself as long as you have enough bedding (Thank you invisigroom!)
The tack made available by the equestrian centre depend on the stock in the inventory
The price of lessons is exclusively based on the boarders’ prestige.
Check out the topic about the Equestrian Centre’s prestige to learn more.

Howrse has always made new stuff for all ages.
Not scary at all...
