- No matter the time, there will still be players on from over the world. The time is convenient for Owlient (presumabaly), and it is a big update which I wouldn't fancy doing at 6 / 7am
they could of done it on a weekend
It has to be done during the company's business hours, so weekends are out
- i play all day gametime and noticed the time around the update is a lot slower than like middle of the game day. around now is when play starts to pick up and goes for about 12 more hours. so they are going to shut down the game for at least an hour right in the middle of that. makes perfect sense. the update finished about 2 hours ago. so they could have done it than when its slower. that's just my opinion
It might be middle of the howrse day for some, but it is the middle of sleeping time for just as many others They have to run the updates during business hours in France, and the daily update starts an hour before the start of that. Also, as the normal update takes up to 3 hours to run completely anyway, they cannot very well risk running a new features launch during that window. Who knows what
