honestly, theres no reason it shouldnt come back if they can figure out the graphics. there isnt a trophy collection, there isnt a rarity level like the rcs, and its just a cool item in general.
you pay whatever you think you want to in the sales.
like the SOA was at 15-20 passes for a pestie and now you can get them for less than 10, it all matters at what you want at what time.

If a new item was introduced that was slightly different than the DA, that would still preserve the original DA's rarity, I would be okay with that. And you're right. The new coats make a difference.

And Kate, I don't actually know if you were talking about Shutterfly But it cost 10 passes.

I remember way way back when some player mentioned that BMI. It was a silvery/pinkish/bluish apple that would grant a personalized coat that you could upload from your computer to the horse.

I guess it never passed testing.

well you see with the whole "taking pictures from google" and "drawing without votes"
then copy rights would be more an issue, and someone could just draw something inappropriate and upload it without being screened.

@SweetBriar, I'm pretty sure the Shutterfly Splint Boot was 5 passes, occasionally on discount for 3. I got it on discount for one of my horses and promptly slapped a GA now RC on it because I was after the Boot for the Philosopher's Stone and bonuses rather than the coat haha

As for the whole DA debate, I agree with BigTimingFarm. The new 'DA' would be put on new graphics horses, old DAs would be on old graphics horses... it would probably end up like the whole PCS GA and CS GA thing. Some people will collect DAs on the old graphic horses, and some players will prefer DAs on the current graphics and collect these, with old DA graphics still turning out more valuable in the end because they have a limited number. It would really be all up to own preference, and DA collections wouldn't really lose value because they still are the same, limited no. of horses - there's just another facet to the whole thing that DA collectors can ignore if they want because new-graphic DAs would never really be as expensive as their collections of old-graphic DAs, which are limited in number as opposed to the new-graphic DAs (unless its a limited thing as well, in which case collectors could become new-graphic DA holders, old-graphic DA holders, or both, kind of like how GA collectors can be PCS GAs, or CS GAs, or both)

@SweetBriar - true, again - I will admit that I did kind of forget about the collectors and how much people have paid for these horses.

All that aside (as I do not wish to see this turn into a giant debate about what would happen if Diamond Apples are brought back [like what happened with the Retired Golden Apple]) - anyone else want to join me in collecting fruit and vegetables to hurl at the Admins so that they either open Preprod or give us more information on stuff?
