You need to check your facts. Isis was around loooooong before some group used the acronym of ISIS. The idea that this new divine might be named for ISIS is absurd, sorry.
Since there is already a divine called Osiris, who was Isis' husband, it is logical that they introduce Isis.

Darling! Use your noggin! Would horse name a horse after a terrorist group?! Do some research, she is an Egyptian Goddess, not a terrorist group. Either way, that *ISNT* their name! the news just shortened it so they could have it in articles.
