Cool carrot is one of the Horses of the Rainbow.
He gives you one diamond every Tuesday (after the daily update), provided you logged in at least once over the previous 3 days.
Once you own all the other Horses of the Rainbow, you can obtain Secret Rainbow.

VIP:
Earn double energy from carrots on Tuesdays
This horse cannot be sold.
Charming Red is one of the Horses of the Rainbow.
He gives you one diamond every Monday (after the daily update), provided you logged in at least once over the previous 3 days.

So it seems these two Divines DO have a VIP Perk, but are not from the Great Challenge - hmm, perhaps this will be a change for New Divines added to the game in that they will have VIP perks, just not from the Great Challenge.
As for the names, I've come to like them - it's a nice break from the usual ones - Click to displaySecret Rainbow Party? I agree, hopefully Howrse gives better names. I think--I hope, anyway--that some of this was mis-translated at one point.
Like the "Removal of the ownership of the boxes" a few months back that was really removal of the box cleanliness. 
Probably, in it's original french, those names make perfect sense, but probably the other language servers seeing this are chuckling or scratching their heads. Like there was supposed to be a divine called "Source" or "Spring" as directly translated, but it turned out to be called Brook in English. 
I like Charming Red though. Looks cool.
