- 2015-03-16Retired breederOn the subject of the testing site (sorry I'm slightly behind here) I think I may have messed up my chances of getting invited
I got invited to the testing served for the Olympic thing in 2012 and may not have been very useful... aka marvelling at all the passes wasting most of them on HOPs and not exactly testing anything. Do you think I'll ever get another chance at doing a proper job of it? Back then I thought pretty much everyone did it and didn't understand how important it was
- 2015-03-16Click to displayThe prepod testers get heaps of passes and equus to do with what we please, unfortunately it cannot be moved over to the real account
- 2015-03-16VIP's will get invited, as for non VIP's it is basically random. There is no set way they choose who they invite, however, the more knowledgeable about the game you are the more beneficial you can be to the testing sessions. Space is limited for each testing session.
The testing server are looking for more than mere testers, they are looking for constructive feedback from the players they are not looking for "I hate this change" kind of statements.. they are looking for thoughtful, constructive feedback.
To be honest, the majority of players(who have said they want to be testers) do not understand the difference between constructive feedback, and a simple rant. There are players who even with over 1500 days of seniority STILL do not understand how to blup a horse properly, or some of the other simple aspects of the game.... Until they do, they should not be invited to test. Basically I see those players wanting to be testers because they heard that on prepod the testers are supplied with 1000 passes and over 10Million E each time.... All they are there to do is spend the passes and the E.. not really testing the items in question and to me, that is someone who would not be a good tester(my opinion).. bash if you want. don't care. Then there are the players with under 1000 days... who have taken the time to understand the game, and all its little quirks--THOSE are who would potentially be good testers!
While we may not think they are listening to us... they are looking at those who have supplied CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and feedbacks. What they are doing with it.. that is a different story all together.
Those who have been lucky enough to get into the Prepod, take the testing seriously, we all provide serious constructive feedback, we give the good, the bad, and the ugly. We state the obvious, we give them information that if they don't play.. they don't understand how it impacts the game(the understated nuisances of the game)... NOT just the players individual game.
As for spending all those passes.. yes we do that as well
Those of us that have been invited are thankful for that opportunity... This is just my opinion on the subject of who gets chosen for testing... If you feel the need to bash my opinion... then please don't hesitate to do so...
happy horwseing all!
