- 2015-04-02Hello! Just a comment on Draft's coming to howrse. I own Friesians here in the US. and the club i'm associated with considers them a draft (light draft) horse. So as far as i'm conserned they already have a draft on the game. And you can breed it as often as you like. So why limit new drafts to 3 breedings? They are after all still horse's and come in many breeds and colors. Just my thoughts. Gl All and Thanks

Our guess is because Drafts (the ones coming) will gather double the resources, skills, etc. so they need to be more rare. - 2015-04-02SapphireWitch wrote:

I believe the limit is being put in place to make the Heavy Drafts (which are the ones we will be getting) more Unique.
It might also have to do with the fact that Heavy Drafts aren't exactly seen as the best show horses (I know I've never seen them used for any sort of show outside of a Pleasure class or something similar) and part of this game is about breeding Show Horses. - 2015-04-02Retired breederSapphireWitch wrote:

Friesians aren't light draft horses. They are baroque, warmblood horses.
Because many farmers wanted a workhorse, the friesian become heavier. But now they breed the friesians to their original.

Not every horse with lots of hair on their hooves. The Friesian is way to skinny.
Gypsy Vanners are heavier, for so far I have seen. So you can call that Light Drafts. But please, don't call Friesian (Light) draft horses. Breeders should know that friesians aren't drafts...
