It's disappointing, I was really hoping to finish the puzzles, since I've never done so well on a promo, but I won't be able to afford to at that price (and for only three cards). - 2015-04-07Retired breeder wrote:

Have to agree seeing as I'd really like to finish Red and I need 3 Diamonds and a Gold to finish him. - 2015-04-07Retired breeder wrote:

I'll agree with you there (Even brought it up on Preprod - that's why I made a note that the price might change) - but at the same time, I did the math and found that...depending on your luck, the price actually isn't that bad.
Here's the math for those interested from an earlier post I made here in regards to the Packs:

Take my example of getting a Bronze, Silver, and Diamond Card:
I can use the Bronze card to get an Artemis' Arrow (worth 1 pass to me based on the price of the Hera Pack (3 passes for the Pack - 4 items in the pack, 1 pass per item)
I can use the Silver card to get one of several 1 pass items (such as Medusa's Blood)
The Diamond card gets me a Winged Staff - which would then let me buy a Nyx Pack (6 passes)
That's a total gain of 8 passes worth of items for the price of 5.
Even if you get a Gold card instead of a Diamond card - you can still get items worth the 5 passes:
Use Bronze card to get Artemis' Arrow (1 pass)
Use Silver card to get Fertiltiy Wand (sold for 1 pass in Black Market)
Use Gold card to get Morpheus' Arms (sold for 3 passes in Black Market)
I still come out to a 'profit' of 5 passes.
Again though, that's just my thoughts on why the price is what it is (I still wouldn't have paid it here though) - 2015-04-07Retired breederBRM wrote:I need 1 diamond and a silver for Red, and 3 diamonds, 1 gold, and four silvers to finish all the puzzles, so I'd need a minimum of four joker packs, which is 20 passes - 11 more than I have and 15 more than I'm willing to spend.

If the packs were two or three passes each, I'd be a lot more willing to buy them. (Note to Howrse: when trying to sell something to a large number of people, a high price is likely to bring in less sales, and therefore less money; whereas a lower price will encourage more people to buy them, and will, in most cases, bring in more money than having only a few people buy them at the high price.) - 2015-04-07Retired breeder wrote:

The reason it's so expensive is because you get to choose what cards you get within the rarities you receive. Instead of just randomly getting cards :P
It's super helpful if say you have just 1-2 diamond cards you need to get that and get the EXACT card you need, rather than open 10+ card packs hoping you get it. - 2015-04-07Retired breederShorahNagi wrote:Part of why I think it's so outrageous is because I'm not trying to get pass items from the collection cards, I'm trying to finish the puzzles. With no guarantee of finishing them, I don't want to end up spending my passes for nothing.

Well that's Ubisoft for you. - 2015-04-07Retired breeder wrote:

Well, remember that Joker Cards let you choose what card you get - so you could choose to get the Puzzle Cards you need.
Though I can see your problem - if you already have the Bronze and Silver cards...you're taking a gamble with those passes to get the Gold/Diamond ones you need
