TLDR:
Are there specific equestrian centers that allow ads on their forums, and everyone knows they can post there?

Full question:
I noticed that Howrse doesn't have a specific forum for "sales" or "ads".
I also know it's illegal to post in this forum anything to do with buying/selling horses.

Which leads me to wonder - how can one find specific buyers or sellers? default smiley :o

E.g. if you are looking for a horse with specific BM items that you can't filter for in Sales - how are you supposed to find one?

Or, if you have horses with rare coats which you want to sell (I don't), but also want to use them in the meantime (e.g. for competitions) until you find a possible buyer - how are you supposed to do this?

I know that players can post buying/selling on their profiles, but going over the profiles of *literally* thousands of players is not practical. default smiley :s

I also know there's a Discord, but I wondered if there's something on the game as well, as many younger players don't want to get involved with Discord. default smiley (8)

Are there specific equestrian centers that allow ads on their forums, and everyone knows they can post there? Or is there something similar?

Thank you! default smiley :)

You can always post ads on your presentation or EC forum. Thier are filters in sales. At one time, there was a small group with a private forum, you can also create ads through messaging people and asking them to post your sales on their presentations/EC forums!

  • There are ECs that allow ads in their forums, but posting a list of them here would be... Advertising. We cannot post a list for you. (If there is such a list, I don't know about it. It would not surprise me if someone keeps a list like that, I just do not know what direction to point you in.)

The best and easiest way to get horses sold is just to put them in the sales. If they don't sell after a few days, start lowering the price a little. Same with buying horses -- check the sales to see what's there that fits what you're looking for.

Sending PMs to people asking them to advertise for you is likely to get your reported and earn a sanction. As suggested, you can advertise on your own page but otherwise you'll need to search the sales or look at other people's presentations or EC forums. I'm locking this now as those are the only ways without risking rule breaking.
