Monday
I'm wondering if there's a higher likelihood of a Zonkey inheriting a pattern from its father as opposed to its mother, or if I'm just having rotten Zonkey luck.
I have seven Zonkeys and 6 of them inherited the father's coat. I don't really love the coats of any of my Zebras so I've been hoping for them to get the Jenny coats and am disappointed every time, so I'm wondering what the likelihood is if anyone knows it.

fFom what i just read, it says the higher that they are blupped the greater chance that the pattern will be passed to the foal...
The opposite is true. If they are blupped, there is greater chance of a genetic mutation, which means something random *other than* the parents' pattern and colors. - TuesdayDoes anyone have the answer to my original question? I know about the BLUP/mutations, that's not what I'm asking.
- TuesdayTo answer the original question: as far as I know there is no higher chance to inherit the coat from the Zebra or the Jenny.
There is nothing about that on their page about this either: ""They randomly transmit their designs and colors to the foal. If they have a high BLUP, your chances of a genetic mutation will be higher.""
I think you just had some bad luck here. - TuesdayGot it! I was thinking it was bad luck but after 6/7 times I wanted to double-check. Thanks!
