Hi all, I just need some advice regarding the competitions in my EC please

I run western competitions and I have tried my best to set them up correctly however they still remain quite a weak spot in my equestrian center. I'm just wondering if anyone could please help me out, what am I doing wrong / missing?

Any help is very appreciated please default smiley (l)

  • Hi!

The only way you can increase the prestige of your competitions is to increase the difficulty level, and have high skilled horses run in your competition.

A common way to help your competitions run frequently (to avoid losing 1% when they don't run for 5 days), is to enter your own horses in your competitions so they are most likely to be entered by others.
You can also ask for assistance in running your competitions in the VIP forum (if you have access).

  • you need to drop the comp difficulty way down and work it up slowly. your skill requirements are quite high. fewer horses to enter.

Their prestige level of their competitions are already quite high .. I personally wouldn't lower the difficulty, if anything, increase it slightly. I think the key here is getting them to run frequently with higher quality horses.

You want your competitions to run frequently, so you may have to enter your own horses (2 of them if possible) in the competition best suited to their skillset. Example: Tennessee Walker's best comp is western pleasure. And possibly ask for assistance to help you further.

If you have the funds, I would personally invest in horses at the current (or close) GP level of the top prix teams in each breed associated with your western competitions.

Even if your competitions are at rosette level sometimes they will still struggle to run on their own - that's why its great to boost with your own top quality horses.
