Hi! I'm currently choosing a stallion for one of my mares and would love more details on aphrodite's tears and how it affects offspring. I'm wondering:
if a stallion's skills weren't boosted (no a. tears used) but the mare's were, will their foal's skills be less than if both parents had their inborn skills boosted?
Also, if a stallion is fully blupped but only has the top 3 skills trained (lower overall skills), would that result in the foal being born with less skills?
I hope this makes sense! Any information would be really appreciated

- 03:07The parents' skills have no effect at all on the foal's GP and IBS.
The only thing that affects the foal's GP and IBS are the parents' GP and BLUP. Tears then takes whatever the IBS would have been, and multiplies that by 1.5 -- that's all.
To get the best out of the use of Tears, you need to use the highest GP parents you can, with both of them at 100 BLUP. Their skills are irrelevant. Whether their mothers had Tears used is irrelevant. You're looking only at GP and BLUP of the parents. - 03:09Inborn Skills, a How-To:
If parents' BLUP is 100, Calculation of Inborn Skills is :
IBS = (GP father + GP mother) X 10%, with a variation of +/- up to 4%
Example~
GP father = 26960.60
GP mother = 26960.28
IBS = (26960.60 + 26960.28) x 10% = 5392.09 points
minimum : 5176.41 points
maximum : 5607.77 points
With Tears, multiply the 5117.21 "estimate" by 1.5 = 8088.14 IBS, give or take up to 4%.
If the BLUP of either parent is less than +100%, multiply the BLUP as a percentage (so +70% would be 0.70) by the GP to determine the portion of GP that will be passed on into IBS.
