[UPDATED] Devs' Corner: March 2026

Why'd you make the default avatar uglier? It doesn't even fit.
The devs corner insists on making new changes every month and almost all of them are totally worthless. Not even that, they don't even bother to list everything they changed. The change log also deletes an entry everytime this happens, so players still confused about the currency change or divine fragments are out of luck.

I like the update on the account page! I think it looks sleeker and is much easier to navigate as a newer player who doesn't have the site memorized yet.

That said. Please change the color. One of the nicest parts of Howrse is that it has toned down colors, making it easier to play for as long as I like without getting eye strain.

PLEASE fix the comanager on the account bug, as that is at this point in time an insane glitch that looks like it would Only lead to more problems.

I would enjoy the developer notes much more if there was more specification as well! That makes it feel like I actually have an idea of what's going on, rather than vague tidbits I don't understand as much.

Like with the "Corrected a bug that prevented players from completing certain beginner objectives" line, it would be nice to know just a bit more detail like "Corrected a bug that prevented players from completing certain beginner objectives 1, 2, and three."

I would also like the objectives to mutilate our horses to maintain the streak removed. They feel cruel, especially to people who don't buy passes and use that as their main way to get some.

I'd like it if the draft system was fixed. Freisans, gypsy vanner, etc. Should be under that category. Plus adding the others.

Just posting in case others are worried sick about the access removal adding people instead:

"I've been told that the co-management issue should now be fixed. Try clearing cache to make sure your browser is receiving new data, and log back in, and you should be good to go."

Worked for me! So those having [had] the same issue: go at it with cleaning browser & restarting

That white page is just awful! Please, please change it! It looks like the kind of thing you'd find on ancient word processing software from decades ago.

Please change it to a muted colour!

As someone with ASD I'm incredibly light sensitive and my fear now is that more and more Howrse pages are going to be changed to this awful white format like the notification and account pages! I love the colours of Howrse and we don't need it to be made minimalist or 'sleek' or whatever you guys are trying to achieve.

Honestly, my brain is swearing so much right now!

Can the next update be night and day version of the site? Like you can choose which one you want in account. It's extremely blinding to play this game at night so I usually turn down the brightness on my computer and phone.

I don't like the co share changes as it was much easier to just see green to know if someone's co is on and it was more smashed together so you can see more co's at once but now you have to do more scrolling if you have more co's.

Overall the new setup is refreshing but unnecessary like many others said, I'd much rather get updates that actually impact my game play positively like less lag.

I don't mind any of these changes but I definitely agree with the post above me asking for a day/night version of the game...so many websites are offering that nowadays and it's hugely helpful for anybody who struggles with light sensitivity/migraines/etc.

For me, it's the harsh yellow-green backgrounds that are really hard on my eyes and really annoying to look at, so I'd be really happy if they were finally removed/replaced with something a little more neutral, even if it is white/off-white backgrounds with a hopeful future option to switch to dark gray/black.



I don't mind those objectives at all and I certainly don't see it as "mutilating" a pixel horse/"wasting" passes. I actually look forward to the "remove a unicorn horn" objectives since I usually have lots of otherwise useless male unicorn foals sitting around so it's nice to be able to get 10-20 passes for them.

If you don't like them/don't feel comfortable doing them/can't afford to do them, you don't have to do them...but you don't have to try to make other people feel bad for being okay with doing them/try to speak for everybody.

Not really impressed, I experienced lots of lag. Instead of adding changes to the game, maybe try and fix pre existing issues like the lag that hits maybe 7-8 hours before update. It's not my connection.

I like the remove the water of youth objective for older blup immortal mares. I don't like dehorning and dewinging ones could get costly or cause problems with golden apple coats.
