[UPDATED] Devs' Corner: March 2026

The Dev's Corner update we need is a change to the Breeders Wealth Privilege of 100e/day that hasn't been pinned to inflation over the years of this game. Where's the parity???

Really don’t understand how public coverings could result in cheating. Seems very counterintuitive to limit this as horse breeding is literally the main purpose of the game. Their main slogan is “Breed horses and manage an equestrian center”.

As for flooded covers, there’s a reason that the filter search exists, to really combat cover flooding you’d need to have a ridiculously low limit since you can only see like 20 covers per page. Just search for what you’re looking for instead of clicking through the pages of covers.

Moreover, for those who shrug this off because they aren’t doing mass breeding I urge you to consider what kind of precedent this is setting. They are putting a limit on a main function of the game, thus we should consider that it is possible these limits will continue to happen in other areas that you will care about.

We are not forced to agree with all updates. I have actually disagreed with several updates in the past.

This one on limited covers I am natural on. If it does indeed stop cheating then it is a good thing. I never offer that many covers in a day, so it wont really effect me, and if it makes things more fair for other players then it should be good.

I am very happy however on the change to the birthing page. So nice to see the stats there now!

I'm with everyone else on the covering limit confusion. How was it cheating? Was it really a big enough problem that the dev team felt like they needed to fix it ahead of fixing other issues?
I think if we got some kind of explanation or answer it might clarify the whole ordeal and make it less confusing.

Howrse makes everything cheating. Really puts you off the game. Soon it’ll be cheating to own too many horses or rank too highly people working hard and getting money from it is hardly cheating. There are so many things that players have been complaining about for years that haven’t been changed, yet they prioritize things that aren’t even a real problem. It’s like they’re aiming to make this game more controlled and less enjoyable with every update

All I can say is the downfall of this game is coming quicker and quicker. They probably make like what, several hundred thousand dollars a year, and many of us have been playing for several years and have been very loyal to the game. Would it really kill them to listen to us, ask us what we want, rather than just assuming what we want. Many of the biggest players are leaving because of a lot of the changes being made to the game. I mostly played in 2012-2016 and it was so much more fun and addicting back then. I just wish they would listen to the people who gave them the privilege of having a high-income and now somewhat successful game. If Howrse wants a future they should really start listening to us. This is probably going to get taken down, cause Howrse can't stand negative opinions, even though they're literally asking for people's opinions and it's sad that we can't voice our opinions without fear of our account being taken down or losing Karma points

If I'm using top public covers and they run out I am NOT going to breed to a lesser stud because the game "caps" his maximum covers available. Why should a player be penalized because they blupped the best available colt and put up a tonne of covers? This is ridiculous.

Why did the profile link have to be moved to below the foal's naming box? What was wrong with where it was?
