96x96 isn't a lot of wiggle room, not many pictures are clear enough to even bring it down to that size. Just change it back to 120x120, its useless making the avatars change. People need options, forcing something onto someone is how you lose people. Don't be like that.

  • The newest version of this change is awesome...those who prefer square avatars can keep them (and if the difference between what I believe is 100px x 100px and what used to be 120px x 120px is that hard to adjust to/see right, you can simply zoom in on the page) and those who prefer circle avatars don't have to deal with that darker brown square outline. That was the one thing preventing me from having a circle avatar in the past.

Did they... did they actually listen and change it back?

Thank you Howrse for reverting the avatar change default smiley (y)

You know, if you guys did polls on these kind of things you would probably find players a lot more open to change. Having ASD means I struggle with sudden changes to my 'safe places' but if we had had an enquiry posed to us and time to process it then the reaction may have been somewhat different.

I also feel that this is to get us inline with social media channels and their styles, of which I do not partake, and I resent the inexorable push towards that.

The circle avatars were a bad idea. Not because I dislike circles, but because it took away the freedom of choosing the avatar shape from the player. Thank you for changing it back.

The problem with changing the size to 96px—a change of 24px—is that it leads to all of the player artwork becoming obsolete unless reverted back because the avatars will not display correctly; the avatars are also off-center Additionally, now everyone will have to make new avatars to fit the change. This is why they should be changed back to the larger size of 120px. And if you dislike the "large" avatars—like - Orchid - said—you can simply zoom out.

I definitely think the size should be reverted back. You can barely see the details in my avatar.

Thanks for listening to us in regards to the forced crircle shape, I really appreciate it. It would be very nice if it was still able to be the 120x120, but I appreciate this being restored. default smiley (y)

I agree 100% when it comes to the avatars. I recently changed mine, and really liked it, but now you can't make out my username on it anymore. default smiley (o)
